Who is advising you on here?
If you are taking advice, in this case, from me, Robin Logan, it is best to know something of the advisor's credentials and authority on the subject. After working in the conventional medical field in a Pathology Laboratory for several years, I decided to study homeopathy. That was based largely on my becoming disillusioned with what I was seeing in the hospital environment and medicine's tendency to look at the parts without taking into consideration the whole person. There is no better holistic philosophy than that developed by homeopaths and that led me to do the intensive course at the College of Homeopathy in London. I have been in full-time practice since 1984. Homeopathy was my only source of income after graduating so it was important to me to build a practice quickly. The combination of that need plus my passion for the subject meant that I developed a very busy practice in a short space of time. No matter how good an academic you are, there is nothing like clinical experience for honing your skills. The intense nature of my working week over many years resulted in insights that I would never have learned from books. I was registered with The Society of Homeopaths, the largest registering body for homeopaths in the UK, and was awarded a Fellowship in 1994 for my contribution to homeopathy. I was also a Director of The Society of Homeopaths during which time I contributed mainly to the Registration and Moderation aspects of the Society's role. I also took over as Editor of their Journal, The Homeopath - a creative and enjoyable phase in my career.
In 1998 my best selling textbook The Homeopathic Treatment of Eczema was published.
The book has continued to do well as a textbook for homeopaths and is recommended reading at several schools. During the 90's I taught and practised homeopathy in the UK as as well as many countries abroad while continuing to contribute to homeopathic Journals . My approach is to view the patient holistically and I am particularly interested in the mind-body relationship i.e. the part emotions play in the disease process. There is more to read about this on following pages. Since moving to Canada, I have become Registered with The North American Society of Homeopaths and The Canadian Society of Homeopaths. Before leaving the UK, in conjunction with Higher Nature, I developed an advanced antioxidant supplement called SuperPhyte. There is more about this product, nutrition generally, and Higher Nature, on separate pages. More recently I designed a superb skin cream called '7 Cream'. This is a particularly exciting project for me and is the product of all my years of experience of treating skin disease and trying other people's products. if you need a moisturiser or cream for promoting the healing of damaged skin for whatever reason, please take a look at this. It is a superb product that I am very proud of. There is a page of testimonials you can look at too. With the writing of my book and the development of the cream, I have become known as something of a 'skin doctor', but I do not see myself that way. The treatment of skin conditions by natural means is only part of what I do. As I repeat in several places on this site, 'treating skin conditions', by natural means or otherwise, is not as simple as doing whatever possible to make an eruption disappear. Read on and if any questions remain unanswered, drop me an e-mail.
